Greetings from Strummer of Love! It’s well known that Strummer of Love’s ethics and aim of providing striving musicians with an audience coincides with our mission of providing support for striving musicians, but what has amazed us is the sheer joy in the celebration of all styles of music. This is something that more musicians should do, and it’s something that we believe demonstrates the love and human spirit behind music, and it’s relieving to see musicians refusing to pigeonhole themselves. We saw this previously with our work with SGB and Steinway (see here for the fantastic session), and it is always refreshing to see musicians taking strides outside of their preferred genre. Music is music in the end.
One band that shows this spirit at Strummer of Love is Dreadzone, whose music is an eclectic fusion of dub, reggae, techno, folk and rock. It is because of this innovative spirit of experimentalism that their song “Tomorrow Never Comes” is our song of the day.
So pour yourself a glass of Pimms, sit back and listen to this groovy nugget of nice.
