Jonny & The Baptists seem to have recently exploded onto the comedy music scene with recent tracks like “Do It In The Library” and “Upper Middle Class Gangster Children”. Their blend of observational humour, political and social awareness comes so naturally and fluidly, which makes it all the more funny. As a gentleman that grew up in a rather affluent area of this green and pleasant land, I am more than familiar with Upper Middle Class Gangster children, it used to give me great pleasure watching them living the so called “thug life”, when I had seen them earlier on with their mums in Waitrose. A gangster's gotta do what a gangster's gotta do. So! This song observes how wealthy children play gangster. Adorable. Jonny & The Baptists really are fantastic and one of the funniest musical comedy acts here at Edinburgh. Well done you.
