Edinburgh Festival Fringe: Comedy Update with Eddie Pepitone, SET LIST and more ...

We've had another stunning day at the Edinburgh Fringe where the clock never seems to stop.

We've been looking around the Free Fringe for some new names and are pleased to be able to bring you firstly Paul Ricketts and secondly Hurt and Anderson as acts to look out for. We are delighted to announce that both these young acts join us as "LISTED ARTISTS" with "something serious to offer". See below for our audio reviews of these two promising acts.

Returning to the main Fringe, we have reviewed and interviewed Eddie Pepitone... - this American comedian should come with a health warning: "beware a Pepitone gig - you'll laugh so much your mouth will hurt".

That's what happened to Rose who now has jaw ache. All this aside, Eddie is not only a wonderful, innovative and free spirited comedian, he is also a lovely guy of the highest order and this came out in interview - watch our space for that.

Here's a picture of Eddie:

Meanwhile an interesting gig was also Magnus Betner - picture above - a Swedish phenomenon translating his massive Swedish act to UK audiences. Rose reports "This guy is beguiing. On entering his gig, I was warned it wasn't for the fainthearted. Magnus's gigs are for the big hearted as cutting through his comedy is a profound human affection. As for the dark - well black is a unison of a myriad of colours and that's how I feel about Magnus."

Lumberjacks were gigging and these guys did what can only be described as a beauatiful and funny interview and that's on its way. They are performing around the UK soon and the interview alone is enough to get us there: they have an extraordinary closeness and unified comedy that we can't wait to experience on stage not just in interview.

The other half of our team was wowed by Jim Jefferies. They both came out and said he was brilliant. We then had a double Jefferies delight for he was on SET LIST last night too where he was blindingly funny and had an extended set. I wonder if that has ever happened on SET LIST before. Other notables on SET LIST last night included Trevor Noah - this clever guy has stunned us before and we'll have a full review of that SET LIST out soon.

So watch our space for more on all these great names, new and old, free and not free. They all share one quality: excellent comedy.
