Strummer of Love Teenage Report Part 1

St Pauls Lifestyle's teenager reporters were at Strummer of Love in Summer 2012

This is Jessie and Harley reporting for Part 1 of our teenage Strummerville report from The Strummer of Love Festival. And guess what.. you would be surprised to know that, even though we are only 14, this isn't our first festival together. We plan to tell you about it from our point of view, so here are a few highlights of this ace opportunity so far:

Check out these amazing guitars we saw at the entrance just as we were collecting our guest passes.. We reckon they could have been Joe Strummers at one point! Imagine that!! Actually seeing a guitar that legend played up close :o

Loookk!!! It is an original Womens Institute badge that another reporter in the press caravan was wearing which is quite the coincidence because Jazz set up the Shoreditch Women's Institute.

After a lot of perfecting, here is our tent for the weekend - Denny! That's right we named him and the one that Rose was staying in was called Stanley but we have no idea why :D it took agess to set them both up mainly because it seemed that Denny wanted to run away from us, metaphorically  of course ;D

Look how deep the mud is! OMG Jessie almost got stuck and Harley lost BOTH her wellies in it :0

Thankfully though, it was only muddy for a little while and only in some areas so this soon changed. The sun decided to make an entrance and the festival organisers put down straw for us to walk on - phhewww!

We have got our eyes painted with glitter and it looks very pretty and there were all sorts of patterns on them:-) it was done at the Sunset Disco which is a part of the festival aimed just for our age group. Awesome :D They were impossible to take of fully though so by the last day we still had glitter EVERYWHERE!!

Hahahaa! Look at this hilarious.. well.. you name it.. that was observing us getting our glitter done on our eyes!! The people at Strummer of Love are soo creative :-D

We mentioned the mud earlier but check out how grassy the rest of the site was!

The food is fantastic - here's Harley with a lemon and sugar crepe yummm :p  Jessie had a white chocolate one and said that despite the fact that it was quite sickly, it was delicious!

We were on our way back from the camp site when all of a sudden we set our eyes on this beautiful wedding venue - we congratulate the lucky couple who got married in it! What a wonderful place to dedicate yourself to that one most special person that you love most in your life <3 :-D

A very lovely sewn up quote from Jazz's homemade hang out - We love it!! :-)

Just down the road was a luxurious chilling out place in the shape of an old public London bus! It was immense how relaxed the atmosphere was there - everyone was welcome! :-D

The stage was set alight on Friday night by the amazing Seasick Steve and his awesome talent as well as his creative lyrics :-D We love you Seasick Steve!!

Wow! What a beautiful sunset!! Such a lovely end to such a successful and epic day :)
