I cannot put into words the profound effect listening to this interview had on me.

I think the underlying toil and adversity that Kirk Brandon has turned into wisdom is what truly hit me when listening to this.

This audio interview with the legendary and charismatic front man of Spear of Destiny was recorded before they played in July 2012 at The Railway Inn in Winchester.

Kirk speaks about his second life. He speaks about his love of writing and how life experiences steamroll into the lyrics of his songs. When discussing the importance of his music Kirk is very modest but concedes to the idea that music is freedom.

This man has clearly been through some tough times but there is a strong sense of kindness and positivity throughout this interview.

You will find yourself deep in thought one moment and smiling the next whilst listening to this and looking to book to see him live.
