Introducing: The Bedroom Hour - 40 minutes with them is better than.. - Find out what and more here.

Thankyou to The Bedroom Hour for sending through some photos.

Two doors close and a new one opens….

About a year ago, two bands who regularly gigged together and knew each other unfortunately split. Some of the members of both bands got together and formed The Bedroom Hour. Call it fate, destiny or rock and roll (or all three) I think it’s fair to say we can expect big things from The Bedroom Hour.

A five piece guitar/synth/epic dream rock band from West London, Stu Drummond (vocals), Mark Dudley (Keyboard), Rob Payne (guitar,) Ryan Pincott (drums) and Mattia Millan (Bass) record and mix all their own music from their own Studio space in Uxbridge.

According to Hayes FM DJ Hughie Dixon, "40 minutes with The Bedroom Hour is better than 5 hours with Sting and Trudi in a tantric sex session" high praise indeed!?

Without a doubt I think I may have fallen in love with this band overnight! I have not stopped listening since.

The two tracks that stand out for me so far are ‘Heart will Haunt’ (chosen as our Song of the Day last week) and ‘X Marks the Spot’. The vocals are incredible - strong and distinct - and equal within the layering of the other instruments in the music. I was lucky enough to tune in to a live acoustic session the band did last night with their local radio station, Hayes FM. Listening to 'Heart will Haunt' 'Nocturnal' and 'Victim' live just confirmed for me what a great sound this band have.

The guys say about one track “we think this will be the start of a new music revolution and end throw away pop” “As song writers we try to emphasise space and dynamics within the song to give the vocals free range and a tasty melodic charm.”

“At the moment we are writing, recording and honing our sound." I think their sound is unique and their own.

The band has been likened to The Editors, Elbow, The Doves and Kings of Leon and listening to their live version of Nocturnal last night I couldn't help but think of the Stereophonics.

I am so excited to welcome them as LISTED ARTISTS to St Pauls Lifestyle and cannot wait to hear more from them as well as go and see them live.
