Exciting news everyone. Dr Brown, last year's Fosters Award Winner at Edinburgh Fringe is performing another hilarious show between March 25th and April 20th. Be sure to check out his material.

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the world’s largest arts festival, and one of the best ways to discover some of the greatest performers, and of course, the most hilarious comics. The Fosters Award (previously known as the Perrier Award) is a way to honour the best comics to grace the beautiful city of Edinburgh during the festival and has been awarded to the likes of the Cambridge Footlights, Dylan Moran, and Demetri Martin. We previously interviewed the comic genius Daniel Simonsen, who won the Newcomer Award (which has been won by the likes of The Mighty Boosh, Arj Barker, and Tim Minchin), and it is available to watch here.
However, last year the main award went to Dr Brown (a character created by the American Philip Burgers). His award winning Edinburgh show “Befrdfgth” (and yes I did spell that right) will be coming to the Soho Theatre in London (March 25th-April 20th) and is well worth checking out.
Dr Brown starred in this Channel 4 sketch show, so one can hope we’ll see more of him in the future.
His comic style is unique, and the character Dr Brown is some sort of absurdly awkward, perverted mime. This is a style of comedy that we don’t often see any more in adult comedy, yet it is a delight to see it emerging again with such brilliance; like an awkward phoenix rising from Mr Bean’s ashes. No matter how bizarre it is, the show has had extraordinary success in Edinburgh, reducing the audience to hysterics, and now it's coming to London. If you want a truly original comedian then look no further.
